Although only have eight bedrooms all are designed and decorated with a modern European sensibility, yet with touches of the Far East everywhere. The six double rooms all have four poster beds. The two twin bedrooms are large and cool, and were designed to fit together perfectly if you need a really big bed. The spacious, exquisite bathrooms offer you the best shower experience in town – all the hot water is solar heated. Breakfast is usually taken in the shady garden, Drinks can be taken in the garden or on the first floor veranda.
Everything in the house has been locally sourced, all the house furniture has been handcrafted in a small village near Agonda, the cane furniture comes from Karwar, the ceramics – all Indian, the linen Bombay Dyeing. The soft furnishings from Living Concept in Margao. Only the washing machine (Korea) and the vermouth (Italy) were imported.
For the discerning traveler or holidaymaker, not the average backpacker, the Village Guesthouse offers comforts and style associated with much more expensive establishments.
